I met with Celia at a cute little organic cafe in varsity lakes we chatted about her plans over ice coffee and smashed avo on toast (my type of meeting). As most brides do she wanted a fun relaxed day with images that reflected the love between herself and soon to be hubby Russell but being a beauty vlogger and working in the skincare industry it was extra important for Celia to make sure her skin looked as flawless in her images as it did in real life.
Come wedding day I arrived at a quaint air BnB just off the mountain, as I drove in, I noticed just how peaceful this place was surrounded by horses and rolling hills.
The girls were adding the finishing touches to hair and makeup and I was thrilled to see my makeup artist friend Julianne had them looking gorgeous. After shooting some details and the bridal preparations we were off to the ceremony at Canungra Valley Vineyards.
They had chosen Ben Carlyle as their celebrant and he is truly an industry legend, he delivered a beautiful and light-hearted ceremony filled with laughter and sweet moments.
Once we had family photos in the bag we headed to catch the last of the afternoon sun by crossing a small creek, I was hesitant at first to get Celia and Russell across but like the true gentleman he is Russell scooped up Celia and carried her across the rocks to our first photo location. It was so lovely to spend the rest of the afternoon photographing them, I mean the entire bridal party looked like they had climbed out of a magazine.
Once we had wrapped up after a few shots in the vineyard it was dinner and speeches then, of course, the cake and dancing. Celia and her best friend busted out some serious moves straight out of the swing era, it was brilliant!
On the drive home back up a road we fondly refer to as the ‘goat track’ (for good reason it’s a single lane vertical winding track straight up the side of Tamborine Mountain), I thought about the day and I took a moment to be grateful. I returned home to my little piece of paradise on the mountain to back up the images and head to bed.
I love weddings like this when it all falls into place and you get amazing vendors and couples to work with.
